Texas ain’t Minnesota.
The local cops will kick the shite out of them and the National Guard will get deployed.

This whole line of questioning should have never been allowed to occur.
... why?

Future progressive voter right there. Absolutely perfect mindset for that ideology. What a sociopath.
That kid's lie is the basis for every donation this family has gotten and they know it.

What website is reporting testimony like this?

Yeah they can try that shite all they want in TX it ain’t gonna fly.
I actually kinda hope they do riot bc I would love to see some of these supporters get put in their place.
Any fair minded person knows this is about as open and shut of a case as it gets.

This is cold blooded murder dude, any lawyer with at least half a brain is avoiding taking this one.

Next witness is a detective.
About the only thing of interest I see is him claiming the knife was legal to carry in the state and at the stadium.

Was the stadium not on a school campus?

You don't remember the BLM riots in Austin?

Legal correspondents claim that state law trumps policy.
Carrying it on school grounds / stadium is considered a policy violation and not a law violation.

Austin is to Texas what California is to much of the nation.

Seen this movie since I was 14
nah, not this time around, for a lot of reasons.
Primarily because Karmelo doens't have a case, at all. It's a slam dunk for the prosecution. Also, I think there's very little appetite for that overall because of the already ongoing fatigue.
Not to mention the machine doesn't seem really interested in this situation as compared to what we've seen in the past. If that was going to happen the media would be covering this 24/7 to spin the narrative and they would already have bussed in dozens of outside white progressive anarachist / antifa types to literally and figurately pour gasoline on the fire.
Plus as others have mentioned. This is Texas, not Minnesota. Abbott/Paxton will do everything in their power to prevent that. One hint of a riot or violence and you'll see half the Texas National Guard get deployed over night.

This will sadly likely happen regardless of the verdict.

No I don’t. But I believe you that there was. George Floyd case compared to this is apples and oranges.
And after all the damage caused by those riots I highly doubt Texas would tolerate it again. Esp over a case like this.

Austin is not representative of the vast vast majority of the rest of Texas. Just another isolated progressive bubble.

Why does it even matter? Its just defense trying to muddy the waters
He either acted in self defense under the law or he didn't
(He didn't)

Is it a public defender? I thought they spent all their GoFundMe money on cars and houses.

Wouldn’t that be irrelevant ? He’s at a school event, weapons aren’t permitted. So he didn’t break a law by bringing the knife. Still broke school policy. Wouldn’t that just mean they can’t charge him with an unlawful weapon ?
