I haven't watched the Daily Show in years, but I did see him do stand up with a group of friends a few years back. He had a bit about the first time he had tacos that was pretty funny, but the rest of set was nothing to write home about.
I'm pretty sure that same set was used for one of his specials on Netflix.

Don’t watch him regularly but he has some good moments. His supporting cast/contributors are pretty bad though.

Not remotely. Just like Samantha Bee, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and the rest of the "entertainers" with shows of that nature.
