Say what you want about Trevor Noah... I don't care. But John Oliver is pretty fricking funny and he calls out some true bullshite on his show even if you don't agree with his politics. he's done some great stories on things like civil asset forfeiture, fifa, fcc, prosperity gospel, etc

Outside of South Park (which only does like 10 new episodes a year) and Tosh.0, they have nothing original worth watching. Those are the only shows keeping them afloat.

Oliver is funny when he has a good topic, the problem is when he has to try to stretch to find a topic to be "outraged" about and he comes off looking like a hack
he's covered a lot of the low hanging fruit already
it's sad what "comedy" has become. every show is the "enlightened outrage" or "intellectual outrage" show, there's no diversity. the comedy all comes from a smug place with a layer of hate underneath, so nothing is actual comedy or very funny.

Yeah, I think he's pretty funny. Not on Stewart's level, but that's asking a bit much. The fact that he upsets trumpkins so badly is just a bonus.

I never thought Colbert was funny on Comedy Central. I used to really like John Stewart, but he's got TDS really bad now as well.
