Houston Police are saying its murder - suicide.
apparently husband killed wife (pregnant) and both children. Unbelievable sad situation. That Restaurant was definitely my favorite in Montrose.

I'll be with the editor of that magazine tomorrow. Yikes.

I've never been to their restaurant, but heard it's good.

I fricking hate that shite. Just fricking kill yourself if you're that miserable. No need to kill anybody else, especially your wife, and ESPECIALLY your fricking kids.

How old were the kids?

ETA: Nevermind:

The kids' names were not released, but authorities said they were 8 and 4 years old.

fricking awful.

I'd feel creepy saying this after this story.

I've never heard of the place, though.

The fact that someone can harm a child, muchless their own is mind blowing that should be a physiological test and if you fail you get to go take a dirt nap.

Does anyone know if Matt lived in Houston early 2000s, then moved to Austin for a year or two, before moving back to Houston 2007ish?

He looks a lot like a guy Matt that I played basketball with at the Augusta Y. It’s been so long ago that not sure if same guy (would’ve been mid to late 40s by now).

I bet they were bankrupt and he didn't want to tell her. Restaurant is a tough business and this just feels like that is what will come out.

Restaurant was probably never profitable and he was just living on Covid loans until they ran out.

While often used as a first name, Mitchell is definitely in the last name category.

that’s a really good theory but I will say that restaurant and their sister restaurant travelers cart were always packed when I was there in the area. Always had to booked a couple days out it seemed liked.

I’m 49 now and the guy I’m thinking about felt to be around my age. So I guess 52 is possible.

His name was definitely Matt but no idea about last name. A couple of the other pictures I’ve seen look exactly like him but 20 years older.

Looks like the house sold for $875,000 to $940,000 according to HAR. Slap on 17k to 20k in property taxes and that’s a pretty good lick every month.
