Travel Ball "World Series"

Congrats to the 3524663635357 travel ball teams playing in a "World Series" this week or the next couple of weeks.
I remember back when we played Dizzy Dean and Babe Ruth baseball. You played in some tournament, and then district. You win district, you then go to state, you win state, you go to regional, you win regional, you then go to the World Series.
I think Little League is still this way.
But this USSSA travel ball crap... everyone can play in the world series! You need "points to qualify" but as long as you play in a few of their sponsored tournaments, you will get enough points.
Literarly the only difference between the "World Series" and your average weekend tournament is the number of teams and the destination.
Yet my Facebook (dear facebook,) is covered with moms and dads posting about how proud they are that Junior is playing in the World Series!
Everyone gets a trophy.

My travel t-ball is preparing for the World Series.
I'm thinking about having them practice twice a day.

Serious question... who makes this money? Is someone getting rich off of this or is it just all non-profits and volunteers?
I see how much these tournaments cost and how much the kids fundraise.

I'm sorry, but are you besmirching my little Kayden, Jayden, Braydon, Kaylin, Kylan, Brylin, or Baylon and the 9 home runs he hit this weekend?

There’s a World Series tourney for several different organizations, not just USSSA every weekend. So what. It’s teams from all over the country. They also divide them up into different classes and you’re garenteed 4-5 games over a 5 day period.
