Traffic pet peeve

Thoughtless people who don’t stop at the white line at traffic lights, especially in the left turn lane. Then I have to make an extra wide turn to get around them. With a double turn lane it creates problems because I can’t go too wide because there’s another car on my outside turning left as well.
Someone does it almost every day at the same intersection coming home from work.

My chauffeurs hate this as well.

People that stop traffic to be nice to let someone out, just to make me wait and usually causes an accident.

Fun fact: as many idiots as you think you see on the road, someone else is calling you an idiot as well.

The left turn onto Highland at Old Perkins is wonkey. Double turn lane but going onto a three lane road because the interstate on ramp is right there.
Inside lane usually goes wide because the stripping is almost nonexistent. Careful here.

Can we learn how to zipper in?

No lane change blinkers.
And this is at least about when I’m out walking, not only driving.
I get to intersection. 2 cars join me. Neither have their blinkers on. I then attempt to cross street (walking) in intersection to learn they are turning (coming at me).
Blinkers on and I don’t walk. No blinkers on, I assume no turn, and I walk. (No, this ain’t Manhattan with proper cross walk lights).
Don’t assume! Self absorbed drivers don’t care about anything outside of their world.

This and they proceed to make about 45-50 mph.

A lot of stuff. But one is being in center lane then deciding they need to take that right or left turn. So, come to complete stop until they can make that turn from the center lane. Or sometimes no stopping all all and just make the, darn everyone else on the road. Usually tourists or dumpy vehicles.

People behind you who want to switch lanes like you do, and whenever you switch lanes at the same time, they lay on their horn
Posted on 5/3/26 at 8:46 am to Undertow
People who ride my bumper, and flash their lights, and honk their horn, and flip me off when I'm going the speed limit in the left lane.

Turning on the blinker when two turns are nearby and you’re going to the second one. It’s common sense that if you have your blinker on, and someone is coming out of the closest road that you could technically be turning into, you may cause an accident. Just wait until you’re past the first turn and flip the blinker on if someone is waiting.

Bonus points if they do it in a roundabout.

Seriously, it doesn't seem too bad when suburbia driving, but in the city I've seen someone in a crosswalk almost hit more than once because of this.

Old country folk are a nightmare to be roundabouts at a roundabout.

People being nice always screws up traffic flow. And not using a blinker. People just lay on their breaks and turn while on a busy street. It baffles me that they have no issue with not letting others know their intentions.

People who don't know how to navigate a stop sign. For example, a car gets to the stop sign 5 seconds before I do, then proceeds to wave me through before I even stop. Ughhhh
The ones that pull out in front of and proceed to barely go then attempt to turn left in traffic. They screwed you and the 10 people behind you. Idiots..
