Your wife shouldn't become a "stay at home" mom to become an internet sensation.

My daughter got married this past June and is very much a traditional wife. If that’s how they want to do it, I’m fine. But I told her that she can’t get 5 years into their marriage and decide to resent her husband for it. She is/was completely gung ho about it. To ever say that she is/was anything different would be inaccurate.

Wife and I celebrated 21 years last weekend and here is how our setup always had been:

We split all bills 50/50. Only difference is she pays her car payment, and I pay mine then split the rest

We always have had separate bank accounts. I don't care what she buys as long as she pays for it and same for me

We also have that setup where if something happens to either of us, the other does have access

If she cooks, I'll do dishes, if I cook, she does them. Several things we setup like that when we got married back in 03.

We've never fought over money, bills, payments, etc.

Took the money part completely out of it.

and not one picture of any wife was posted...

My wife and I are in a traditional marriage. She does work a part time job, but is home most days by 1. I work 12 hours a day at least 5 days a week, with Thursdays and Sundays off. She takes care of the inside of the house, cooks, cleans, laundry, dishes, even packs my lunch most every day and leaves me little love stickynotes. Her income is mainly for her to get her nails and hair done and buy a few groceries. Mine makes up the rest. Would I love it if she was a doctor making a fat salary and we could just hire someone to do all that for us? Sure, but this is working for us. I actually got one of the good ones.

Why add “Trad”? The word “wife” properly describes her role.

Because of all the hyphenated last name wives that carry their husbands balls around in their purse. Feminist movement weaponized the vagina and here we are.

If your wife isn't a trad, you've failed at marriage.

The trad wife movement is based on the belief that men and women should assume “traditional” gender roles, with women caring for the house and children, and men providing financially and managing most decisions for the family.

Sooooo a stay at home mom? That's not a movement

My wife and I naturally fell into those roles, though she worked the first year of our marriage until we had kids, and then worked about 15 years for our company after the kids were raised. I tend to lead on the most important decisions, but she handles all of the money.

Trad wife is a dumb term. We are a single income household with my wife taking care of kids and most things around the house while I provide the income. Works well for us and I wish more families would be able to operate this way. It's just difficult with how expensive everything is.
