This may have been a situation where a social worker with counseling training would have been useful.

Was she wrong? Absolutely.

I see what you did there. You are trying to claim since she is a white female you think we aren't going to be as hard on her as a black male who killed a cop.

It is ironic that your username is a black male who beat his wife severely.

The most difficult thing to understand is how she was able to kill both officers. Assuming they wore protective vests and were following precautions, I just don’t see how she made lethal shots on both of them. Wounding both, I understand. But killing both officers? Talk about “fate”. Just horrible for those two guys and their families.

I agree absolutely it’s murder. IMHO, TPOS is not the correct term in this instance.

Right. POS will do.
Have no respect for killers like this.

hmm didn’t realize one of the cops shot her. Hopefully the taxpayers won’t have to be paying the family out.

This is a really weird one to make a racial point on. I didn’t even know the race of the shooter.

I’d bet there is going to be some interesting stuff that led to this.

There was obviously a reason a welfare check was called for either her or the child. I wonder if she was displaying erratic or unusual behavior.

I find it odd they haven’t said if the child was hers or not yet.

I am also reading conflicting reports whether she shot herself or if it was the officer’s shot that killed her.

It says it was a shot to the chest so hopefully the officer cracked one off as a final parting shot. Either way, glad she’s dead.

Sounds to me like a domestic dispute and she was running away? Middle aged veterinarian so not someone you would expect.

I’m curious why other officers weren’t called to the scene before they were going to call child services? I’m assuming child services was going to be called because they were going to arrest her? Which means they had reason to do so, was she intoxicated maybe?

She’s sitting in her car in the wee hours of the morning outside a cheap hotel. I’m gonna go with high on drugs as the first option or mental. Not sure why she was mental, if she was, but I don’t think it was a DUI situation.

Can’t understand people injecting race into EVERYTHING.

If it was a black middle aged female veterinarian with no criminal record it would be treated exactly the same as this. It’s not about the skin color but the overall shock of a middle aged female professional having the capacity to do something like this.

Just like when a young white thug/methy male commits violence you’ll see the same comments of thug, animal, POS, etc.

I don’t know why the distinction is hard to comprehend. A likely common place occurrence (young male trashy person committing violence) versus an unlikely rare occurrence (older female professional committing violence) will invoke different reactions from people.

Yeah, when I heard it was a female that killed the officers, I figured it was a white crackhead involved in nefarious activities at the hotel.

Was shocked to see it was a relatively normal looking middle class professional from Ocean Springs who seemed to have a nice family and all.

I didn’t say anything about race. You did. Surely, you understand that it’s wrong to murder police officers. And the upstanding citizen put her child’s life in danger.
