Lady clearly had some mental issues. Still not sure why she snapped.

So we are blaming the police for doing a welfare check on a woman who was sitting in her car at 4:30 with a minor child. Odd what and who get defended around here.

I guess liberals just don't understand that the state should be extremely careful when trying to separate offspring from their mother. Some people don't believe the state is qualified to do "welfare checks". I have ALWAYS been wary of overreach by law enforcement.

Newest info is she was actually staying at the hotel with her 8 year old daughter. She told the hotel clerk to call 911 because she thought she was being followed.
Cops showed up and talked with her for awhile, she loaded up their stuff and her and the kid got in the car. The kid was sitting in the front passenger seat.
Sounds like she was off the deep end and trying to leave so the cops tried to get CPS involved, she kills the older officer (who's standing at her window) with one shot.
The younger officer gets hit with two shots, one in the head and one in the arm and he kills her with a shot to her chest. The younger officer was wearing a bodycam.
Not sure if a mental illness issue or she was tripping on drugs.

I thought this board felt that you obey police to stay alive. A cop talking to her is NOT a rationale for murdering two officers. Shame on you for defending a TPOS who murdered two officers who were doing nothing except talking to her. It looks like their hunch that cps should be involved proved correct. She is a murderer.

The cops talked with her for over 30 minutes and then decided to call in social services...sounds like they thought there was a mental issue as well. How could you possibly think someone could come to the conclusion she came to and be sane?

Wasn't.
The hotel is in Bay St Louis and she lived in Ocean Springs. Sounds like she worked in Ocean Springs and Mobile.

Maybe not. But when you threaten to separate a mother from offspring from any large animal, you'd better be prepared for a fight to the death. I mean, how hard would you fight to keep someone from taking your child from you?
