I don't know how it is in these Covid days (maybe everything is on hold), but in the past the school's website had a section that let you sign up for campus tours. I did ten or so with my son some years back. All the tours started in the morning and were more than just walking around campus. Academics where definitely discussed. Some of the schools wanted to know the intended major (if known) and would have someone from that department talk to the student. Most took 3 or so hours which made it perfect for driving to the next city for the next school tour. I would strongly advise against just walking around on your own and trying to get ANY kind of feeling for academics.

For OM it's the Circle and Lyceum. OM is a small campus so easy to find buildings and walk. Only need to park once in a day.
I randomly took a speech pathology class as an elective because it checked some boxes and was at a good time. Ratio was insane. All good looking chicks. TA was a smoke show who finished undergrad at FSU. Enough of the creepy talk it was an interesting class and had no idea what the class even about when I walked through the door on the first day.
Enjoy your visit to Oxford and best of luck to your daughter choosing a University.

Haven't been to Old Piss's campus, but been to the other 3. Alabama is by far the prettiest. Auburn seems like the best college town. LSU has the best people.

I'm partial to LSU being an alum but Auburn and Ole Miss are in nicer towns. Being in Baton Rouge would be convenient for you though since you're in Texas. LSU does have a decent speech program but I'm sure the other do too. I would disown my kid if they decided to attend Bama.

Auburn is kind of meh as far as having fun, but in general, I like Auburn's students better than any other SEC school I've been to. Plus, you probably get to live in that gigantic trailer park.

I'm not super familiar with Auburn, but for a school its size it seems to have a criminally low number of good bars.

Come on let’s get real, outside of Vanderbilt you’re getting a solid but unremarkable education at any of the listed schools. You chose the one with the best party atmosphere.

We just keep expanding the one bar instead of adding additional bars
But I agree, at least there were a handful of bars with character when I was there.

For Auburn I would say start at the Student Center.
Haley Center is next door. Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is headquartered in Haley.
Also check out the dorms near Auburn Arena (I think the village entrance is on War Eagle Way). Auburn has been making a concerted effort to have freshmen live in this area so that they can meet others and make friends.

Auburn’s campus is really compact, so you can see the whole thing relatively easily. I would start at Stamford, or near Haley, or downtown. The campus is basically 5x5 city blocks (give or take) with some really nice new student housing out by the basketball arena
