Definitely fits the definition of a long-track tornado. It has no other storms around it to compete with either.

I'm not convinced it ever really faded. The structure was there, but the velocity didn't match. Velocity started looking weird the closer it got the the radar site. It may have cycled, but I don't think it ever faded.

And plenty of instability out in front of it. SPC has monitored downstream all night, and continues to say there is more than enough fuel.

NWS Lake Charles was waiting until it was almost out of the polygon to extend the warning. On the flipside, NWS Jackson already has its LA parishes that are in the path under a tornado warning.

Do we have any damage reports from this supercell passing through CenLa? I've neither seen nor heard of any damage from the Ft. Polk area.

Yeah, I watched all of those, too. Good stuff, but was only a matter of time until something bad happened.

nothing yet
thankfully in Louisiana it's been over mostly rural areas
