If it’s the road by the YWCA, I’m assuming it because the road was collapsing into the drainage ditches from the increased traffic

not a bad school at all to study meteorology... but he needs to learn this market (no basements here)
I don't guess I've ever thought about there being no basements in LA. Makes sense; I've just never thought about it.

Yep, and the long track storm is far enough east that it shouldn't impede their growth.

Are y'all paying attention to the line of storms in northeast Texas ? Is the line headed to the Shreveport area?could be bad for me in Benton ,and all of northwest Louisiana, especially if the line is on a northeast track instead of due east, like usual.
I'm not sure but it's looking like round 2 for caddo and bossier parish.

nothing yet
thankfully in Louisiana it's been over mostly rural areas
I watched that monster supercell on Full Screen Radar from Corrigan, TX, heading straight West. I saw on my own computer screen the white circular tornado signal pop up three times over the course of time, then I grabbed the car keys and headed South to GTF out of the way when I could confirm that it was headed right at Ft. Polk.
That was too fricking close.

IIRC... the ground is this area of the country is too wet/unstable to support a basement
I could be horribly wrong... but I think that's the reason

This should have been a moderate risk system Jesus.
This has been way worse than the last 2 moderate risks across Louisiana. Always seems to do this, you get a hyped system and it ends up meh, get a non hyped one and you end up like “oh shite.”
