I would say that burden is on you as I am in total agreement with the poster you are responding to.
And if you would, something a little more substantial than "discrete cells" which has become a mere buzzword for pseudo-meteorologist on these tedious bi-monthly weather threads.

Yep. And I posted I was wrong in the same thread. I didn’t disappear out of shame.
Missed you Russian. Wasn’t the same without you, buddy.

Good post. I appreciated how well FISD communicated with parents today during the shelter in place.

The theory is that Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City has a weather machine to divert weather. I don't know why, maybe in case they need to send a nuke somewhere.
Anyways, I notice on storms just like this one, that a strong line develops in central TX and begins to approach LA. As it moves into East TX the onshore flow from the gulf begins to fire in Central LA. Vernon, Beauregard, Rapides, etc. All the way back to Houston...
The line of storms breaks just before Shreveport. The tail fizzles out and the part in Arkansas begins to connect to the central LA rain in the Jena to Bunkie corridor.

Any chance all these junk showers take some charge out of the atmosphere for prefrontal development? Here's in south Shreveport it's been off and on brief showers for the last couple hours

We had that all night and early morning before we got smacked by the real line. And ours was earlier before it had time to heat up any.

Plenty of fuel coming in from the south-southwest...

Those showers are out ahead of the warm front. Any stabilizing they're doing will be negated once the warm front passes through. You can see how quickly the intensity of the cells increase as you move to the west and into the warm sector.

Looks like I won’t be shopping at Sam’s for a bit. The one I go to in Grapevine got hit hard.

Don’t be surprised when it starts happening.
