Yazoo Co. has probably had more tornadoes than anywhere in the southeast in the past 25 years.
The only place I think can compare may be Limestone Co. AL, particularly the Tanner area. It seems with every major event they get whacked.

New tornado watch coming soon for north and central Alabama.

It literally cut a swath from Lake George all the way across the state.

One silver lining in all this is that I have a feeling all this Corona bullshite is about to be done with in the southeast after today

How populated is that area north of Yazoo?
It varies. There’s a lake right there that’s fairly populated. My parents and grandparents live on said lake and say it got pretty bad, tornado on the ground about a mile south of them... It pretty much hit the least populated area and they haven’t heard of anything too terrible... Screened in porches having the screens blown out, play sets destroyed, etc. I haven’t heard anything major.

That's what I was afraid of. My kids live in Vestavia. Thank you for the information, I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

surprised there are not too many warnings out there at the moment even though it's early afternoon
Posted on 4/12/20 at 2:29 pm to deeprig9
Luckily that's mostly rural farmland around there.

Thanks, I couldn't figure out how to do that from my phone.
