Such a perfect Baton Rouge answer. BR is nice bc it’s relatively close to other nice things. Nothing inherently good about BR like weather, food, entertainment. But it’s close to other places with that stuff

Oh, I know.

I actually live in Pike Road if you’re familiar with the area at all. It’s much better than Montgomery proper, but still sucks that the closest city is Montgomery.

1) Far enough away from Birmingham, but still close enough to drive in to work.

2) Safe and desired area for property value to rise.

3) Small town feel with no neighbors.

I don’t know. I don’t get out much.

I played with little Red. His zits used to pop all over my shorts in scrums.

BR:

1) Friends and Family. Probably 95% of the wife and I's immediate family, aunts/uncles/cousins, good friends, live here or NOLA.

2) Relatively low cost of living.

3) Sporting events. In a non-Carona year, there is virtually always an LSU, Saints, or Pelicans event going on that we can attend. I know people here laugh at that, but going to sporting events is one of my favorite things, and I couldn't imagine not having that as a part of my life.
