Hard to really argue these points when you notice they only list 42 cities in a State with 64 different parishes. Of course, they add this little blurb in there
quote:

If you don’t see your city on the list, it means that it was below the population threshold or didn’t submit a complete crime report to the FBI in 2019.

Basically, a lot of these cities are high on the list, because the only 200+ cities that meet the population requirements didn't participate.

Probably counting all the various petty type shite that naturally comes with being a "college town."

This entire thing seems all but wholly meaningless.

Those two aren't "cities". They are just unincorporated communities in the parish they are located.

Probably pretty safe, unless you're a kid getting an Eiffel Tower shoved up your butt.

Madison Parish actually had Tallulah Hiigh and McCall operating in a small town for years.

I thought Rayne was pretty rough for as small as it is.

Yeah, there are some real hell-raisers up there at LA Tech. I hear they all skipped class to watch Matlock, and some of them are up to 3 or 4 cups of Postum a day.

We really call these places cities? I didn't look them all up, but at least half of them have a population of less than 10,000. Those are most certainly not cities. Even Mandeville and Youngsville are less than 15,000. Not cities.

Carencro and Rayne both have their share of murders. There must be other statistics that make it allegedly safe

I found out while research crime in cities nationally for an upcoming possible move that car accidents and workplace injuries factor in. Since when is that crime?

The Walgreens homicide happened in Carencro over the summer.
