And the pastor got arrested and the a-hole didn't. Police suck.

Cops are probably pissed that he defied the Covid lockdowns. Sounds like they've just been letting this nonsense happen, as dirty cops do.
Frick 'em all, baw did what he had to do.

Ok, so the neighbor is an a-hole. Still no excuse for walking to his yard and beating him up. Just ignore him.
You may want to re-watch the videos because it never appeared to step in the Sherwin's family yard. All of the altercation existed within DOTD's Right-of-Way.

Central's Police Chief has had plenty of shady crap go on under his watch.

That guy will never live that arse beating down. He pretty much has to move to a different state and start a new life.

I'm not sure if this is technically self defense, as the pastor inserted himself into the situation, but the kid definitely threw a punch or two and then got an absolute arse beating.

There might be more in this thread to contradict this.. But I got this far into reading this tread, but when I first saw the video I thought that the dude had to do something. He had some emotion behind those punches,

For a minute I thought that ugly bitch from 90210 beat the shite out of someone.

Watched the video multiple times.
Pastor is the aggressor (by virtue of running across the street at the guy in an aggressive manner) and didn’t lose aggressor status. The aggressor cannot claim self defense unless he loses his aggressor status. Was self defense against the Pastor’s assault.
Pastor is guilty.
The charges are correct and charges for the other guy is not warranted. Self defense.

On one hand, I can see it as the pastor inserted himself into the situation.
On the other hand, the pastor was just walking up to the kid then the kid clearly kicks off his shoes, then advances towards the pastor, and swings.

Watched it again. Pastor ran up to him and then took a couple more steps at him. He is clearly committing an assault on the guy. The kid has a right to self defense. The kid doesn’t have to wait for a battery to happen on him.
The pastor is the initial aggressor and didn’t lose his status as such. If the pastor had went back across the street, then he would have lost his aggressor status.
An aggressor cannot claim self defense.
Again the charges are correct and the pastor is guilty IMO. That’s the law.
Yall may not like it, but that’s what the jury instructions would be.

how do you run in an aggressive manner? He was crossing a busy street. Of course you run.
He slowed to a walk when he neared the little shite and the turd then advanced toward him and swung. The rest was in the Lord's hands.
CASE CLOSED!

§21. Aggressor cannot claim self defense
A person who is the aggressor or who brings on a difficulty cannot claim the right of self-defense unless he withdraws from the conflict in good faith and in such a manner that his adversary knows or should know that he desires to withdraw and discontinue the conflict.

Looked like he was running to avoid the Dodge truck, started walking again as soon as he left the traffic lane.

They can just argue that he was trying to talk to the kid and the kid actually initiated the physical action.
At any rate, the pastor will get in trouble for the extracurriculars at the end. I doubt he cares though.

The kick to the head of someone on the ground is where it went too far IMO. I don’t think he’s beating that one.
Posted on 6/24/26 at 12:03 pm to UptownJoeBrown
The problem for the pastor will be the end of the video where he continually beats the kid and then kicks him as he walks away.
Posted on 6/24/26 at 12:03 pm to SidewalkTiger
Yall must be emotionally invested in this case. I don’t know any of these people and don’t give a frick.
I watched the video multiple times. Guy is running at the kid in an aggressive manner.
Yall are seeing what yall want to see.

The guy who lost is 20. I see several people calling him a kid, but he lost that status at 18. He fights like a child, but he is not a child.

Right so even if you think the Pastor is acting in self defense, he can lose his victim status and become the aggressor. The charges are valid here as well.
