Essentially grew up off Blackwater, down a bit past Cotherns Tire. Baw country in the 80s and 90s. I still remember their grocery store with the Sunbeam bread lady on the sign.

You just don’t get it. This has been an ongoing thing. Not some random encounter. If someone with a history of harassment starts threatening violence then the words alone are enough for me to act. So many limp dicks here. It was an arse whipping, he didn’t shoot the kid.

A friend who is a police chief in the Metro area and who supports Spell told me that Spell is in deep doo doo. If he had just threw a few hands he would be okay, but he wailed the heck of the younger fellow the tried to break his neck. He was the first to point that out that I am aware of. Now iwth audio of Spell saying he was going to do just there, it doesn't make a rat's arse which words or gestures were make and or exchanged in the years since this all began.

I would think so. I can't see it being battery. Maybe the kick at the end? But if you throw a punch you need to be prepared to receive punches. Maybe he went a little far but I bet the other guy avoids him now

He had the guy pinned down, and proceeded to hit him not just 2-3 times, after I watched the video at length. Probably 20 times at least. He paused for breath a couple times, then resumed. Then he goes to pull the guy's neck back hard and twist. Then he gets up, starts to walk away, turns around and kicks him in what looks like the head area.
And the police are refuting that Spell reported these repeated threats, which is what a responsible adult should have done. Those threats are really the only justification he gives, and it's flimsy for as long as he beat on this dude after getting him pinned down.
Now he's throwing a press conference playing the victim, saying that guy threatened him, called his people the N word, threatened to attack his church, the police are in on it, etc.
Seriously- this is the Rant's hero? Y'all can't find someone a little less unhinged?

I'm sure he is. The police are apparently tied up with him somehow. There's video online of a cop just sitting in his driveway while he harrasses people at the church.
