We are building them now, right?
But we aren't maintaining them. Look at the one paralleling Nicholson South of LSU.
But bikers need to prove to me they'll use the paths. I seldom see a biker on one.

Maybe it’s a chicken or egg situation....
I’m just saying that connecting neighborhoods by bike paths that people used would really be something positive for BR.

So you haven't been here in 5 or 6 years?
Ok
Ok

No I have been there, for a day or so, game or so here and there.... just haven’t spent any significant time there, like go to any parks, take cats, ride any bikes, etc in 5-6 years

Bikes were banned from the levee "bike path" less than a month after it was opened.

and you can’t say that NolaRTA is all that much better than CATS.
As someone who does work for both companies, I can say there is a HUGE difference in the way CATS is tun compared to RTA/Transdev. RTA buses run on time (for thr most part) whereas Cats its a crap shoot when they show up. The buses are kept up alot better at RTA as well.
Theres a reason why LSU will not award CATS the contract for the LSU bus route. They need to make sure those buses will always be on time and we all know Cats isnt that reliable.

Bikes will probably found to be racist, sexist, sizist, classist, etc. if it doesn't work out

So she's afraid that black people will start stealing the bikes at Southern, making them all look bad?
Is this a pretty accurate assessment though?

It's going to look like 1500 people in NBR will be getting new bikes.
Article said 500 bikes at each location. why in the hell would they think that 500 people at any one time would need a rent-a-bike
Posted on 10/26/17 at 7:42 am to doubleb
For comparison they have done this here in Kuala Lumpur. Hundreds of bikes all over the city for months. I have seen 1 person riding them. There are no bike paths here tho. Just shitty crowded sidewalks

I'm hoping, though not optimistically, that somehow monitoring of the number of bikes stolen from each main area is made public. Just for fun, you know.

Personal injury attorneys will love this idea.

why in the hell are federal tax dollars going to programs like this? This will be an abject failure. The br council is a joke and the lady y’all are trying to make fun of is right.
