I once at a MRSA infection in my sinuses
I had that back in the 80's. Sucked bad and I couldn't hear much of anything.
Coughed up some weird almost grape colored matter.

I was off of work for a week, but not bad at all. However, you'd be amazed at how much gauze can be stuffed up your nose. I don't know if anything has changed in the 16 years since I had this done. Dr. Virginia Bringaze at the Baton Rouge Clinic did my procedure.
A lady doctor? WTF?

I gargle with strong mouth wash every morning until the infection goes away and chew mint gum all day. It cuts it down pretty quick for me.

I’ve done the same for over 10 years with massive improvement.
I used to get 4-5 sinus infections every year that would last for 2-3 weeks each.
I take Zyrtec and Flonase every day and use the Neil Med salt rinse every day in the shower.
I’ll occasionally add a drop of either peppermint oil or eucalyptus oil to the nasal flush. It’s been life changing!

If it’s allergy related I would go ahead and start an antihistamine such as Allegra. It won’t necessarily cure the infection you have but it should turn the spigot off over time and help it end sooner. That has been my experience many times over.

Fyi, if the inflammation in your sinuses is bad, sinus irrigation will do more harm than good. You'll trap water and just end up with more pressure and become a walking petri dish. Sleep, vitamins (pick your poison), flonase (or afrin if you want some higher horse power), OTC antihistamine, Guaifenesin all can help. Also, elevate your mattress with pillows or a blanket underneath so you're not laying flat to help with drainage.
Most importantly if you don't at least start to feel better after two weeks you need to see a doctor. I used to get 3-4 sinus infections a year that I'd drag on for 6 weeks sometimes. Finally got a sinuplasty done and ive had two in 10 years.

Neti pot, hydration, workout, time.
All correct. Nutrition, certain teas as well.
I'm currently suffering with the same and finally buckled to my wife's demand I use this stuff (below).
I did multiple times for half an hour flooding my sinuses and it opened me right up.
There's still infection present but all of the above are holding it at bay.

Snort a little Everclear. It'll kill it.

Go to the feed store and some horse medicine. Cures covid so should work on your lil' sinus infection.

What NeilMed product are y’all talking about? Just the sinus rinse or something else like the decongestant spray?

I'm using what pictured. A sinus rinse.
Also using a Neti Pot with a packet of the salt mixture in deistilled water.

Neti bottle and Xlear solution as needed has really helped with my seasonal allergy crud.

Once the “feeling like shite” component of a cold goes away, it seems there is some linger sinus infection issues for weeks. Spitting and neti’n out a bit of dark green in the morning. Pretty sure that’s par for the course.
All that said, I’m still hacking up a lung. My god, you get some real dirty looks around here when you dry cough.

Air compressor hose in one nostril; blow the shite out of the other nostril.
Or a good whiff of tear gas.

My wife (no pics) gets them all the time. Her go to is sniffing an onion. Fortunately I do not get them so no idea if it works but she claims that it clears it up in a couple of days. Hope you feel better!
