I had a bad cold last week that is gone now, but left with a sinus infection. The only symptoms I have now is yellow mucus that goes away with claritin D, but comes back after the 12 hour is up.

ALso, like an idiot, I drank a few beers saturyday night and woke up with bad congestions and pain in the face sunday.

I want to avoid antibiotics, since every time I take them, it wipes out the sinus infection, but I start to get them more frequently after. I haven't had a sinus infection in almost 5 years.

I normally just us claritin in the day and some OTC cold medicine at night to help me avoid coughing and sleep better.

If it’s bad enough, antibiotics are the only quick answer.

I like the Neil Med squirt bottle.

Also I have some colloidal silver spray I use when I feel like I’m getting a sinus headache/infection. It is anti microbial and do not worry you will not turn smurf blue like the guy who ate colloidal silver like candy.

Seriously though, when I lived in East Tennessee I would get them once or twice a year. Never get them anymore. Air quality does make a difference.

Netti pot helps me tons

Now,
If you want immediate relief, get some mace and spray it on a paper plate while outside. Stand by it. It’s gonna make you couch but your sinuses will open up.

If that doesn’t quite do it, rub some of the juice from the plate on your finger and put it underneath your nostrils. You will start snotting and sneezing. Your sinuses will be completely clear. It’s gonna suck for about 15 minutes but after that, you will thank me

You may need sinus surgery. I used to get several infections every year; as soon as one cleared up, another came along. Some were rather severe and absolutely debilitating. I had functional endoscopic sinus surgery in 2005 and very rarely get them now.
