Hydration, time, and rest.
My whole family has it too. Absolute misery, especially for our infant. Everyone is running a fever any no on can stop coughing long enough to breathe.
Antibiotics shouldn’t have any effect on a viral infection. Steroids might help if it gets severe enough, but your immune system will be left in shambles.

Stick a black q-tip into your nose and it’ll leave within an hour.

Either Simple Saline or Dr Neil bottle with saline packets. Be sure to use distilled water

Flonase. I was hooked on Vicks Sinex and Afrin, at least twice a day every day, for 45 years. Told my doctor about it three years ago and he recommended Flonase. I now go three days without ever needing a snort. You can buy it over the counter. It's a little pricey but it works.

Following this because I have the same problems. If you don’t mind me asking, how bad was the procedure and the recovery?

I did a thread on this last week . Mine clears up in 48 hours after this. 2 cloves of garlic, half a ginger root, a bunch of honey in a blender. Drink it on an empty stomach in the morning and at night. Throw in some aloe if you have it but not necessary.

Use a neti pot daily and you will not get sinus infections in the first place.

Make sure you use distilled water for the Neti.

It’s an infection. Need an antibiotic to kill the bacteria. Get a z pack.

I used to have very frequent sinus infections and tried just about every OTC remedy under the sun. The only one that reliably works for me is Ponaris. I put it in a nose spray bottle instead of using a dropper and it usually halts any further progression as well as soothes my nose. If the inflammation is really bad, I use nasonex too.

Your story is mine. Like you, I almost never get sinus infections and I have never taken ant-biotics for one. I started to get sick on Oct 25. It wasn't bad. but it matched your symptoms plus almost lost my voice.
After a little over a week, it started getting better. I felt great, and the symptoms had almost gone away, then after about two weeks, the symptoms came back - a lot of congestion when I'm horizontal. I've been able to continue exercising, and last night was the first in the last five that I was able to get through without Mucinex. Hopefully going to put it behind me now, but if it gets worse again I'll go to the doc.
Good luck!

If you use it properly. So good.

I used to get a minimum of three sinus infections a year. Doctor I went to several years back suggested I use Fluticasone (Flonase) and zyrtec daily. I haven't had a sinus infection in probably 5 or 6 years now.
That said, once you do have one, I used a neti pot or Navage and would take about 1200mg of Guaifenesin (mucinex) a couple times a day and use Flonase as well. that would usually knock it out. If it didn't in a day or two, I was in for antibiotics. Which sucks for me since I'm allergic to penicillin.
