I'm sure that's it. TikTok is certainly the best for that...not spy satellites and other intelligence gathering avenues.

Yea, nothing negative about the country of China or it’s communist party rulers has ever been posted here until TikTok. It’s the People’s Republic of Covid that been getting the focus here in 2020.
Not that you are saying this, but these kind of discussions painting stuff controlled by China as innocent victims reminds me of the recent uptick I have seen from those with TDS pushing the Russia Trump collusion lies again while at same time spouting off that until Trump China was our friend and ally and that Trump is only trying to hurt China to help Russia. Obama from 2012 laughs at all these Democrats telling them the 80s just called... while passing info to Putin he will have more freedom after election including I guess the order to stand down during summer of 2016 when Russian hackers were noticed by our authorities.

Are people really stupid enough to think apps like tiktok only use the data/videos you supply to them? They are notorious for scavenging all the data off your phones and networks in the background. Lots of Apps do it, butnone of the geniuses using them read the fine print.
That’s why things like the Facebook chat app were created. They gain better access in a standalone app than trying to go through a third party web browser.

I'm intelligent enough to understand I don't have a fraction of intel that the government has access to. So why would I be on a message board claiming there's no national security risk when I have nothing but hot air as support? (i.e. you)
What if Tik Tok feeds personal user pictures, texts, videos of kids and teens to the Chinese government who then holds that info for 15-20 years and uses it to blackmail/control a future U.S. politician?
The possibilities are endless. And you need to wake up to the fact that you aren't as all-knowing as you think.
