I'm no expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once...I'm pretty sure a raging inferno can weaken the structural integrity of a steel and concrete structure.

There are several witness statements confirming they did a drug deal, smoked crack, the proceeded to put a couch on top of a shopping cart and light it on fire. People have all admitted to being there and seeing the fire but not actually being the ones the light it.
While you can't trust a crackhead, they all started turning on each other once the law came down and are ratting each other out.
