I think the issue is understanding the sheer volume of carbon dioxide gas trapped in 25 kg (55 pounds) of dry ice. It also doesn't say whether that is a large block(s) or smaller chunks of dry ice. If it was smaller pieces vs 1 or 2 larger pieces, the rate of sublimation would have been much faster.
