You’re getting downvotes but my gf is an uptown transplant in Nola and drives an outback.

We have a 2019 Limited. Love it.
Only thing is, the seats are a tad firm. It's my only complaint. We also had a 2011 we loved.
I have a 2005 Subaru Baja that's my daily car. And I really love it. Such a fun little vehicle.
Edit: I'm a conservative, voting Trump. Used to own guns until I had a terrible boating accident.
Subaru's are simply great all around vehicles.
They used to have issues with head gaskets in certain engines, but they've fixed all of that. It's not an issue anymore.

My wife has a 2020 Forrester. Its a damn awesome little car/van thingy. It has wayyyyy more safety features than I would ever care to have (they can all be turned off) but she loves it and I secretly love it.
When she's done with it I'm keeping it for me.

I have a 2019 forester. I test drove both that and the outback and preferred the forester. The outback has a little more "power if you need it to actual tow anything. But I out a hitch on mine and useful for hauling things around.

Glad they value something as they surely don’t value a good looking body style.

The missus has a 2014 Outback. Our 3rd Subaru and a great vehicle.
I put a NRA sticker on it to cause confusion.

Great car. We own one. We'd own two if I didn't need a truck for work.

My son adores his. It has a standard transmission that we lovingly refer to as his anti-theft device

hetero, conservative, Trump supporting female here---love my Outback! It's my 5th Subaru.

Subjective.
Great cars.

My kids live in the Pacific Northwest , and are hard core outdoor people, they generally get 300k miles out of their Subaru’s and would never consider another brand vehicle.

Thats a unicorn in Louisiana.

Not a baw, but my wife has the forester. It’s has a little bit more room in the back seat than the outback. Drives pretty well, great gas mileage, very safe AWD vehicle.
It’s a great soccer mom small SUV. I wouldn’t think about towing more than a canoe with the 2.0L 4 cylinder engine.
Smart cruise and vehicle alerts are pretty cool.
Idk if I’d ever want one though, I’m not a fan of all the cross over size suv.

So is a Camry but that doesn’t mean I want to see it in my driveway. No judgement here though. Just think most SUVs/crossovers look soft these days.

I have 175 thousand miles on my 2015 Outback. Would have no problem buying another, just don’t think this one is going to wear out.

Everybody in Colorado drives one or something very similar.

I bought a new Subaru 11 years ago and pretty quickly realized I'd probably never drive anything else. I can't completely put my finger on why, but Subarus just feel 100% safer and controllable than other cars I've driven. In fact, I read something earlier this year that says that AWD versions of cars are safer than 2WD versions of the same models by a wide and difficult-to-explain margin: TorqueNews.com. This really rings true for me.
