Yeah happy note was next to Earls. This was mid 2000s or so when we would hit that up.
Friends lived in the fairway view apartments so of course we also went to Fairway view. We would call them up to let them know we had a crew so they knew to ice down more high life’s.

Shu’s Is now called The Pour House. Same owners as The Patio. I go there on occasion too.

I actually don’t live in the area but I work in the area. Usually just stop in a few nights a week after work I’m always there on Thursdays though.

I have some friends that hang out there. I'm too scared to start going to a place like that.

You’re too scared to go to a dive bar on Jefferson?

Here’s a blast from the past and I guess I’m showing my age and my arse on this one. Anybody remember a bar on Wooddale in the 70’s called The Tonga Isle?

We probably crossed paths a few times in there back then.

I think this was one of the first bars that I made regular visits to when I was old enough. Around 93 or so.
My friends dad was a regular there and they would let my friend charge stuff on his "account". After a some long Saturdays drinking in there and eating those seafood platters, etc his step mom found out and put a stop to it.

I ride my bike by there every day and people say “ Hi Charlie “ to me as I pass and I say “ Go Tigers” - but I’ve never stopped in.
Are you that Charlie?
