Please refer her to the FB group, Grieving Mothers. We see this often in the closed group. It's always someone reaching out for support. She will get the support she needs from members who walk in her shoes. Thanks.

Sounds like a women with post somethng-or-other issues. cut her some slack. Unless shes just attention whoring, she probably is grieving. I agree I wouldn't post such a pic, but shite happens.

I've had a similar experience. The person kept posting pictures of deformed or diseased babies that needed payers or how many likes for this baby? I just unfollowed her so I don't have to see it, but we are still "friends."

It's not something I want to see, like you.

However, without knowing the person or the circumstance, but giving her the benefit of the doubt, she's probably overwhelmed with emotions if she was cruising along in the pregnancy and then boom...premature birth and death. It's her child and always will be her child and she may have wanted to show him/her to the world like so many others.

Social media has ruined society. Yes I do it, but I don't post stupid shite or everytime a thought pops in my head do I post it on twitter, instagram or facebook.

A coworker at my previous job was taking a collection for her friend's foundation. I asked what the foundation was for and was told it was for her deceased daughter, Stephanie Rose. I asked what did her daughter die of, expecting to hear leukemia, car accident etc. I was told that Stephanie Rose was miscarried at 2 months into pregnancy when this lady was 16 yrs old! She is now in her late 30's.
I was like are you serious? She was. Apparently the "foundation" had been started a year earlier. This nutcase talks about this miscarriage like it was a living breathing baby that was around for several years.

People are just attention whores these days.

Women who go through this are experiencing a storm of raw emotions. What helps them gain comfort isn't always rational to those who haven't experienced it.

They're mourning and they have social media, that's why.

Lots of people post pictures of their kids on Facebook. I don't see a problem with that.

My experience with this was likely the product of the girl in question just being pretty weird.

But I recently lost a young family member in a tragic way. His family consists of really good people, but they're quite different from my immediate family in how they behave and handle things. Anyway, from my perspective how they talked about the loss of the him on social media seemed very odd, even inappropriate and attention seeking.

But what I determined was that a lot of people handle grief the way they handle anything else in their life. They're attention seeking in their daily life, seeking FB likes and comments for things of little interest and things that probably should remain private. Thus, it wasn't surprising when that didn't get turned off in a tragic situation. In other words, I don't think they were seeking attention as a result of the tragedy, but rather didn't know how else to conduct themselves.
