Then you don't need to buy a luxury vehicle.
Rich is subjective and many of the vehicles he listed sticker less than $50k.

We have the Volvo XC90. Have a 2 and 4 year old. We love the xc90, especially the third row.

We have the XC60 with a 4 year old. We love not having the third row
After having Lexus and Mercedes previously, the Volvo to this point is my favorite. Or at least that is what my wife says and I tend to agree with her. The xc60 is hers. It feels different and is by far the most aesthetically pleasing.

Of the ones you listed, and with reliability and low maintenance being important, I'd look only at the Lexus and Acura. I don't know enough about Infinity to say, but I've never really been a fan of the way Nissan's drive.

My wife's XC 90 is fun to drive

My wife has a 2018 Volvo. We love it outside of a minor creak/rattle from the driver's seat back. The infotainment is very good, but I'd have preferred at least some hard buttons for basic climate functions.
Rented a Platinum version in San Francisco and loved it - particularly the interior.
I prefer the styling of the new XT6 though.

I really, really like the look of these. And impressive reviews so far. I'm not a snotty dude, but I just can't get away from the fact that "KIA" is on the front and back...

Lexus styling today is atrocious - especially on the crossovers/SUVs.

Over the last 13/14 years, I have purchased my wife 2 Range Rovers and 2 Q7's. I get rid of them right after the warranty period expires because parts and shop rates are expensive. Hell, even normal wear items (i.e. tires/brakes) are expensive.
When the current Q7 turns 3, I am going to take a hard look at American or Lexus. The parts and shops that can work on Lexus and American are a factor of 10 higher than Range Rover and Audi.
On a related side note....I really wish the would change the grills on the Lexus. They all look the same and I'm not a fan of the looks (of the grills).

It's totally understandable not to like the land cruiser. Who wants a drive train good for 600K miles and depreciation that is 1/2 of anything else on your list?
1998 Toyota LC

as far as reliability and built like a tank and the resale value they hold, there's nothing to knock.

Take a ride in a signature Mazda CX9, and then ask yourself, are the other cars I drove worth 20-30K more than this one(with a 10 year 100k extended warranty)?
Just went from a 2016 Audi to a 2019 Mazda Grand Touring. Funny how the luxury audi has less bells and whistles than the Mazda. Simple crap like memory seats, didn't come with our Audi

My mom's GL has been very problematic from about 1.5yrs. Airbags and compressor constantly going out. They are both expensive as shite. Goes through tires every 20k. She's getting rid of it when the warranty expires in July. Going to check out a LX and LC today for her. Interior is smaller, but she is tired of the headache that is a Mercedes

Or look at the Volkswagen atlas. They are really big and look super mean in black. Not as flashy of a name as the ones you have, but I think they are still built on a Porsche platform like the Touareg was

As popular as SUVs are, I am not a fan of them. There is not one SUV I look at and say "damn that ride is sweet".
But if I were picking from this group I would go Lexus RX first and Audi Q7.

We bought a 2015 MDX 4 years ago.
Up to 60k miles and zero problems, best car we have ever owned (and the wife had a 3 series when we got married; POS, I'll never own another German car). I plan to drive it when the wife wants a new one and hopefully drive until the transmission dies at 200k+.

I’ve noticed this as well.. i really like the BMW X5; my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo X has remote start, which i love.. I was looking at X5’s online recently, and it’s almost impossible to find one from 2012-2016 model years that comes equipped with remote start.. i’m not even sure if it’s available on the newer model X5s(?)
I ge that one’s a Jeep and one’s a BMW, but there’s certain stuff i like to have, and i feel like with some of the luxury brands, i’m compromising while also paying a lot more.

The "non-luxury" brands and models are pretty damn luxury these days.
My Subaru Outback is fancy as hell on the inside and my wife's Mazda CX-5 feels like a Range Rover on the interior.
You should just get a fully loaded 4Runner.

My thoughts are go in expecting a shite load in maintenance costs, and buy used regardless. You’ll save a lot of money
