However, since my Dad’s health scare, I’m officially out of work. Even though there’s a ton a jobs out there, unfortunately they’re the crappy retail and restaurant jobs.

They’re looking for part time TSA at Barkley Regional. Pays somewhere between $17-$25 an hour. I know TSA gets frowned upon, but it’s considered a .gov job. Think it’s worth it?

Whast do you know how to do? Are you still young because you've listed young person unskilled jobs. Best of luck.

Do you need a job? Than that question is irrelevant.

Find a full time instead of multiple part times

I think about quoting my job and joining TSA every time I see those guys running the backs of their hands on peoples asses.

You can gain from it and bring class to the profession.
Go for it.

If you like pretending to have authority and occasionally legally sexually assaulting people, should be great for you

I'd bet a nut construction trades are hiring in your area, given that tornado y'all had not long ago.

Yeah and if you’re a guy you only get to touch man arse.

I took the TSA test years ago but went back to college instead. Test wasn’t too hard, the hardest part was arranging some different colored tiles by shade in order from 1-18. You start with red and have to get to blue but they’re all slightly different.

Been getting my phone blown up with notices that Lily, Inc. is hiring full time telcom technicians all around LA. With zero prior experience, they are bringing folks in around $17/hr. With just about any kind of prior experience or degree, they will hire at $25/hr. Guaranteed 40 hours plus OT @ 1.5 and good benefits. Can be hard work but definitely a cut above part-time retail/restaurant, plus a chance to advance with tenure.

Not all restaurant jobs are for the unskilled, or restricted to the young. There’d be far fewer restaurants to choose from if they were.

I’ve been trying to hire a laborer for fifty to 150 per hour.

Must be able to stack boards properly.

Must be able to look a man in the eye when speaking and more importantly listening.

Must be able to tell the the difference between bent sheet metal and not bent sheet metal.

May be required to stack two boards on top of each other. Bonus points if you can put the wider board below the narrow board without a fight.

Had a job in Baton Rouge in November that I would have paid handsome money to someone that could cut a piece of plastic tubing, screw a clamp and push the tubing into a push on connection.

Did you lose your job because you took off work to be with your dad?
