Could you provide reasons why you choose to leave and how do you feel about the place you moved to.

Graduated LSU, got 3 job offers, bestest one was in Houston so I took it. It was OK but I moved again 5 years later.

Most of the people here had to leave because they couldn’t even find a job in Louisiana

Hopefully the wheels on the tahoe getting stolen by Mexicans won’t make them late for work at the cubicle farm

That was kind of my take as well. I've been to Houston a couple times and it's awful. Expressways, strip malls, a high rise next to a house, next to an apt building, by a hotel. The only areas that have anything to do are manufactured malls. No real original character to speak of.

But hey, many on here love it and more power to them.

Left after college - 25 years ago and honestly hope I will only be back permanently when I get buried.

Love to visit but really would rather not live there again (my wife feels the same way).

Louisiana will always be my home. But I left because I had a family to provide for, and my employer said pick up your next check in Texas. I will always love Louisiana and her citizens. Quite a few are family members. I told my wife that when I die, bring me back home and bury me in Lousiana soil. No casket, no concrete vault..... I mean bury me in the soil. That's right......food for the worms. I won't need this body when my soul is gone.

That was a compromise. Actually I wanted to be creamated and my ashes spread over the family homestead in a cropduster. [I want to come back as a pot of rice - medium grain]. She didn't like that idea at all.

Anyway the people of Louisiana are the most friendly, compassionate, fun loving, and family centered people I know. Good people.

Got tired of Baton Rouge weather and still wanted to work outdoors.

Decided to accept a job offer in Alaska having never been there before in my life.

Turned out great and plan on being an Alasks resident the rest of my life

I'm out in Portland growing weed and getting paid. There is a lack of true culcha, beautiful outdoor activities, cool climate and lack of unnecessary law..yet, some things need more attention.

I love louisiana. It's my home and I have a love/hate relationship with the state..if I could legally grow quality weed there for all of you, I'd do it.
