Who are you pretending to react to?

Clip in some posts decrying the natural beauty of Louisiana.

I can certainly appreciate that pic.

I moved from Louisiana in 87 been living in this concrete jungle for far to long. The beauty in that pic to me if not anything else, no a-holes to be seen.

The people who appreciate Louisiana the least are Louisianians.

Lots of outsiders have a romanticized view of the State.

All's I see is a shitty two lane road and some woods in bumfrick middle of nowhere. Glad you can appreciate it though.

This. Hipsters flock en masse to the state to go to Tulane and live in New Orleans.

Drove 7 hours to camp in Arkansas Thursday.

If I had stopped halfway at Kisatchie I’d have been severely disappointed.
Natural beauty requires either clear water or elevation. We have neither.

Knowing plenty of people from out of town I can tell you that this is absolutely true.

Most people from out-of-state are absolutely in awe of the bayous, marshes and swamps in Louisiana. Especially because of the vastness of them.

We don't appreciate it because we live here. A guy I know who grew up in Colorado came to visit and he was sick as a dog crossing the Causeway. He got queasy and threw up at the end.

Imagine if you're from a state like that, or many others, you never drive on a body of water anywhere near that size. He couldn't see the other side of the bridge. Never in his life has he not been able to see the other side of the bridge. He said he felt like he was driving off the end of the Earth.
