My V8 synthetic oil change and tire rotation is about $120. Well worth it. Dealership.

The dealerships have mobile 1 also, you just have to ask... I work for a dealership, and I’m here to tell you if your not doing it yourself, then a dealership is where you need to go, yes may be a little more expensive at times but if ANY mistakes happen, and they do anywhere you go, (i.e. didn’t tighten the oil filter all the way, to much or to little oil etc.) a dealership will fix the screw up and if any damage happened to any internal part of your engine...

this is the other reason why i try to always get it done at big places/the dealership. suing those 5 minute oil places is a pita

Lol. Do some wrenching on an old Porsche and then get back to me on difficult to work on cars. There are special tools made just to work on those cars for those impossible to reach places. Don’t forget to tape up the timing hole because if you drop
Something in there you’re pulling the transmission to be able to get to the clutch to get the piece out you dropped.

I drive a Tacoma 4x4 so it’s easily accessible and well engineered.

I do my own oil changes.

I won’t touch some front wheel drive piece of shite.

This thread is quietly exposing everyone who bought the dealer warranties and service plans.

It all a scam.

All you gotta do is leave the plug so oil can leak out and then you just add new oil once a while. It change itself.

Are you insinuating that carmakers would initially make it harder for you to self service so you be more inclined to come to their dealerships and pay a premium over non dealerships to have them service your vehicle while also offering a credit card with a 29.9% interest rate that gives you a 5% discount on all services rendered?

No way.

I still like to do it myself. On my older vehicles. My new car and the wife's I take in. I like to rub the frame and springs down in oil. And make sure my undercarriage isn't rusting.
I also like to look at the oil and see if I have other issues. I've even sent oil off to be tested before.
Good way to take care of a vehicle between 120-300k miles.

5 minute oil change? Lol the thing can't even drain properly in that amount of time. Not to mention I wouldn't want those retards they have anywhere near my car. Same with dealers. Any thing they change in the process they break something else trying to do it.

We have all been at a restaurant and when you tell the waiter what you want, you have been told they are out of that right now and you have to order something else.
Has anyone of you ever been at an oil change place, tell them what weight of oil to put, and then you get told that they are out of that weight? No, because when they are out of what you need they simply put the wrong stuff. That happens everyday.
