Seems kinda wasteful and list a novelty for the elite at first glance. But, the implications could be ground breaking for search-and-rescue missions. I could also see a wedding or other entertainment even using this.

Ah. Another lawyers playground

Flip on the sun at 2AM, and the next day 8 of your neighbors call up their lawyer buddy, and Cha-Ching. Going from sunshine to making it rain within weeks

Can rent a 4kw light mast that also is a 20kw diesel generator for under $600/week.

Reflect Orbital's app-based service deploys orbital mirrors to beam sunlight to user-specified Earth locations in under 30 seconds, targeting nighttime solar energy extension and construction lighting at ~$1,000/hour.

So these people think someone is going to pay $1,000/hr to get sunlight to power solar panels? If only we had some sort of power generation contraption to cheaply create electricity

It actually could money out if they can get it to hit enough panels and it was a high demand period. Still probably a better investment to just add batteries though.

False

I will happily cast the sun on my ex wife’s house 24/7 if it would drive her crazy enough to stop suing me.

Oh and also maybe some solar farms can make some money.
