Well now that D1 programs can essentially pay players now it makes it even more impossible…that and legalizing sports betting has fricking ruined college sports.. I feel like kids had a much easier time getting into D1 programs 10 years ago.

To some extent you can find clearance bats. Some are legit trash hence why they have trouble selling. But you need to know the bats and differences to know what’s a good buy and what still ain’t worth crap despite the sale.

So you’re against kids having $400 bats? Is it something you can’t afford?
There are dudes in Puerto Rico and the DR with scars from neighborhood machete fights who have a better shot at MLB than your kid.

I’m talking about buying used cause lil Braxtyn has to have the newest bat, meanwhile his current bat is just getting good and broken in because he’s a 75lb 10 year old.

I sell my used. I’ve bought a few used. I’ve bought some clearance and I’ve bought some full price. All for people finding what fits them.

It’s the culture of stupidity and ignorance along with entitlement that yield this reaction to travel ball. Ski trips and disney are not the same.

SlowFlowPro is in here talking sports and sporting equipment, as if he has ever been outside. Hilarious

Yeah completely uncoordinated and no concept of actually playing sports.

No coach whose job depends on winning is taking an unproven 18 year old boy over 21, 22 or 23 year old men with a track record of college at bats/innings and 3 to 4 more years of strength training.
So no more Curiels , Santarellis , Milam’s, Bears?
Hell, we’ve got like 10 freshman on the team right this second period

It seems like this happens because baseball is the one major sport where you can imagine your kid being elite without constant reality checks.
Think you’re cut out for high level football? Tune in to Alabama and Georgia and see if you’ve got an edge over the freaks playing your position. D1 basketball? Are you tall and black with a 35”+ vertical? Ok that’s the first cut.
The odds are just as long in baseball but most people can’t immediately differentiate talent levels just watching.

2027 and 28 high school kids are getting screwed by the new 5 year rule. Baseball is effected more so than other sports because players need to keep a year of eligibility for negotiations with MLB.
They are also starting where men’s baseball offer 34 scholarships vs 11. Quite an opportunity for those with the drive to navigate the system.
