No I think the vast majority of people react with compassion and empathy when a worker is struggling. Most people make self- deprecating remarks to convey the universality of the human struggle and take the weight off the person. That’s just emotional intelligence 101. Unless it’s near a Sonic- then it’s ON.
That being the case, if you are this emotionally volatile, you pretty much shouldn’t leave your home.

The dude clearly has mental health issues. Why film him and (presumably) berate him for something that was probably beyond his control, to the point where he has a breakdown? Yes, he needs help and made a mistake, but does he deserve that?

I'm pretty sure Tariq Nasheed wasn't the guy filming in the hotel. He just posted the video in order to elicit racial tension, as is his admitted MO.

The guy is most likely the night auditor working graveyard. I know from experience that it takes a special kind of person for that role. Besides the shift, they need typically make sure everything balances and charges post overnight so a warm body won't cut it. With that said, sometimes you find folks who can't deal with pressure situations and have very poor personal skills.
I agree with what has been said, I think the guy needed some help not to be egg'd on for someone's enjoyment.
