Last time this happened, I remember plenty of people trading in their low MPG vehicles for cars with higher fuel efficiency. I don't see how that is possible at this point
actually curious to see how this plays out. will it drop the trade in value of low mpg SUV's? not that anyone can trade them in and get something new anyway

O&G baws placing their orders for 2023 F350's as we speak. Brass truck nuts.

And not one mfering gallon of gas you buy over the next two weeks cost one cent more to make etc.
Wow, it’s almost like it’s a commodity or something, huh? I’m glad no other items fluctuate in price on a daily, nay, hourly basis.

This is pure arse price gouging. I remember 30 years ago he econ professor explained it like this.
As soon as gas station owners find out that gas is going to be more expensive they raise the prices on the pumps even though the gas and their storage tanks has not increased in price one fricking penny. When gas prices have sudden decreases, they don’t do the same thing.
I said many a time that the average Joe screaming to expect hikes causes a percentage of the swing and pushes up the timeline
The second they have cover of expectations they eat up that profit

People have short memories.
Purchase decisions (and then baw mods) have consequences.

And those people ended up spending far more as their flooding the market with full size SUV's and trucks killed the resale value.

Working from home and my sedan doesn’t look so bad after all

[sarcasm] The free market doesn’t work. You don’t need to own things. You can enjoy your government provided housing, transportation, and food allowances.
But at least there won’t be cash to take out hits on rappers at the mall in broad daylight.

Does anyone believe this would all be happening under Trump? Just curious.

We will see $200 a barrel and $7 a gallon before the end of the year.

I picked a bad time to work on getting my pilots license. Unleaded here is probably around 7 per gallon now. I can’t imagine what AV gas is going to be.

If we are lucky, at least we will have a different congress to deal with in the new year.

Ford picked a bad time to stop making small cars. That, and hybrid sales are about to take off!
