Won’t make a bit of difference if RINOs are elected in their place.

We are 1.5 MILLION barrels per day below peak production under Trump.

We are above the average daily production we had during trump's term. We are drilling more now than we were for MOST of Trump's term.

And we bought 7x as much oil from Russia last month as we did the las month that Trump was in office.

And now that has pretty much halted. Contracts that were already in place are being fulfilled but new buys of russian oil have all but evaporated for US refiners.

The US just held one of the biggest lease sales in history late last year

You mean the one that Biden's DC court invalidated??

more lease sales are on the way early this year.

Doesn't matter. That stuff is already accounted for.

It's the future market uncertainty from Biden's actions that have us over the barrel.

This is laughable. Oil production under Trump increased 40% pre-pandemic.

No matter how you try to spin it, the US is FAR behind production on the date the pandemic started, despite demand being higher today. This is an abject and utter failure on the part of the current administration.

You may think it's laughable but it's true. We are producing more oil per day now than we were for 30 of Trump's 48 months as president. We went over this in a recent thread where graphs and numbers were posted.

You post stupid laughing emojis and ignore the many posts telling you that it's not the current production that is the issue. That is normal and expected in the market.

It's the future of the market that is the problem and it looks terrible under Biden admin.

I know you want to be able to pin it all on Biden, but whatever perceived supply risk exists in the global crude oil market due to regulatory uncertainty in the US is FAR outweighed by 1) the perceived inability of OPEC to ramp up production and 2) the risk of embargoes against Russian oil causing a global supply disruption.

Yes, regulatory uncertainty makes a difference. But not a big enough difference to drive the global price of oil up 50% in the span of a month.

The biggest factor right now is that OPEC looks like they don’t actually have any spare capacity, given their recent decision not to increase production quotas.

I really don’t know why I’m even trying anymore..

And still not remotely close to the pre pandemic peak. And not remotely close to demand. Cherry picking some pandemic data doesn't change the truth.

You can pretend the administration hasn't tried to choke oil production, but you're lying to yourself.

Trump sought energy independence as a national security strategy. Biden outsourced oil production so he could pretend that foreign oil doesn't count in environmental matters.

You are referencing an 18 months period in time. I'm referencing a 30 months period. If anything it is you who is cherry picking.

Not true. I have said several times that Biden's shitty policy and rhetoric is a factor. You are assuming and putting words in my mouth.

Just like, for example, I would say Biden is easily the worst president in my lifetime and his O&G policy is simply one factor in the overall picture of his terrible terrible leadership.

Imagine if the US President told you there would be food shortages in a year, and he followed by saying he wasn’t going to allow farmers to expand. Wouldn’t the price of food go up immediately? Yet, there isn’t a shortage currently. I think that’s what everyone is arguing.

I think the ceiling in South LA will be 4.50-5.00. We are nearly at the panic stage. I went to Costco on Thursday, and the line was so long, you'd think we had a hurricane in the Gulf.

Saddle up. Ride a bike, you'll be able to do it safely very soon.
