On behalf of the educators out here...this next quarter (but probably longer) starts a new chapter in public education. There is a huge learning curve that students, teachers, and district administrators will be navigating, yet again, together!
As we embark on this thing called “eLearning or blended learning or even face to face instruction”, we are asking our Facebook friends to refrain from publicly scrutinizing their children’s teachers/schools/district for the way they are teaching, the lessons they’re assigning, or the decisions the districts are making. Instead, we ask you stand up for educators if you see this negativity on your timeline.
Please offer grace to your child’s teacher and other school personnel. I promise that educating & keeping your children safe is still their #1 priority. ??
They are about to navigate unchartered waters with little idea in what to expect. This is a crisis, not a time to be playing armchair quarterback. They love your kids and will be doing their absolute best!
?????????????????????????????????
Please copy & paste if you are a teacher ... or support teachers.
And fellow educators, YOU’VE GOT THIS! We believe in you! We are all in this together!

They're so ignorant to the real world that they have no idea everyone's doing their job a little different these days. Sweety if your job was so hard you wouldn't have time to get on FB.

You can’t have 2 #1 priorities.

I don’t have time to read all of that.

Will teachers be banging their students in class or out of class this year?

Nothing worse than when they refer to themselves as educators. How pretentious. It pisses me off when some girl tells me she is an educator and she teaches third grade. You are just there to make sure the late bloomers don't piss or shite themselves and make sure they don't escape. Get over yourself.

I lot Of the women in my family are teachers...

So I know how fricking annoying them can be.

But this isn’t really that objectionable. We are all living through a learning curve.

You seem to enjoy complaining about what everybody else is doing on Facebook

Teachers rarely do shite in my online classes. It's why you see notes copyrighted from 10 years ago. Some teacher gets to spend all summer in her garden with her cats and just posts the same shite she made years ago. Just need to make "office hours" a couple of times a week and that's it.

Books are all online with learning modules. The hw, quizzes, tests can all be on wiley or Pearson and graded for you.

Even when I was learning linear regression and projections in my management class, my teacher had links to tutorials on YouTube from some Pakistani professor. Obviously it was a good teaching tool, but the teacher personally didn't teach anything.

Instead of five teachers to teach 100 kids, one teacher can teach 100 kids on line.

Again, as a teacher or educator or whatever, I’m embarrassed by my profession right now. I truly believe most of us, certainly the ones I talk to, are ready and wanting to go back. Unfortunately it’s the least intelligent and loudest who are getting their way right now. Even more unfortunately, that seems to be who is in charge of all aspects of society right now.

Write letters, speak up, do what ever you can to let them know we are out here too.

The taxpayers can say whatever they want. If you don’t like the heat then quit. They won’t because they know summers and holiday breaks are too good of a deal.
