Unemployed people shouldn't adopt more mouths to feed.

DO NOT DO IT UNLESS you plan on keeping it for it's entire life.

Don’t put the puppy on a pedestal, won’t work out for you.

Once a month Pet Smart does the in-store vet clinic. Shots, papers, heart-worm tests all of it. Cheap and worth it. Get there early the line can get long. Also, that same store will cut the nails for like $10.
Give him plenty of time outside to run and play.
Put cayenne pepper on anything he chews to teach him not to do it.
Putting his nose in something with a spanking still works like a charm.
Take him for car rides often.
Get the location chip put in.
Old fashioned milkbones (the red box) work the best to keep teeth clean and breath fresh.
Keeping hair cut short will prevent shedding
Buy a dog bed from TJ Maxx. No kennel training.

Good looking dog. Adopting is always a good thing. My advice, jump on training ASAP. The sooner you get it in his head what you want, the more ingrained it will be. Be patient though. Dogs are destructive by nature. Make sure you keep up with his meds. Also, remember that you’re caring for a living thing. Don’t adopt him unless you intend to keep him until he dies.

Socialize it with people and dogs as a puppy.

That's a pit bull. Just look at him.

From personal experience make sure it isn’t a pit bull.
