Cannon Beach is pretty, but as a beach it sucks.
- Drive to Mount Hood
- Drive the Columbia River Gorge scenic drive
- Visit any of the water falls

Anyone been to Cannon Beach?
I mean, it's pretty and cool for the Goonies locations, but the town is jam-packed during the summer and the road up through the park to get to the beach (the same road Josh Brolin had his bike launched off the side which sort of made it better) is a slow crawl, and once you get there it's more of a walk around for an hour, take a few pics, and leave kind of place. It's a cool stop if you're driving 101 but I wouldn't devote a day to going to see it personally.

These are what I would do. Some of the water falls are awesome swim areas this time of year. Naked Falls is an awesome swim spot not far outside of Portland on the Washougal River. These are just parts of it. It's probably a good quarter mile long series of water falls and swimming pools:

legal prostitution.

I could be wrong, but I don't think this is accurate. There only places where prostitution is legal is several counties in Nevada.

Cross the Columbia and go hang out in Vancouver. Beautiful place without the riff raff of Portland.

Yes, Cannon Beach in Seaside Oregon is awesome. at night you can have your own beach fires, bring some blankets & you can set up right in front of the “GOONIES ROCKS”.

We stayed at place on the each with a hot tub overlooking the GOONIES Rocks, sit in the hot tub with some wine & some of the best views of your life.

And further south is Astoria which is beautiful too. They filmed Kindergarten Cop & the actual GOONIES House is there, but that might be too long of a drive if limited on time. It’s cliffs with seals on the docks. Cool place.

Oregon coastline as another poster mentioned is possibly the best in the country. It’s up there!

They’re still there downtown. It was pretty disturbing at first seeing them up close as I walked down the sidewalk but I got numb to it after a while

Cannon beach is nice. Seaside a lot more touristy. If you have time head south from cannon to tillamook and tour cheese factory. Then cruise over to Oceanside for some coffee.

If you dont have time for the beach head east and hit up the Columbia River gorge-several waterfalls. Stop at mcmenamins edgefield for some wine or beer…..

Weather should be perfect this time of year
