Going to be in New Orleans all week for work. What are some must do things to see or places to eat?

Seriously though, need more info in your OP... Age? How many people you got with you? What do you want to do?

If you enjoy classic cocktails, swing by the Kingfish bar.

Will be staying in the Hilton at Riverside, going with the SO. I'm 33, will be with a lot of work buddies. Not wanting to spend a shite ton on food, but want something good.

First of all ignore this kind of shite and the Oceana suggestion.

Go post on the food board what kind of places/food you are interested in and let them guide you for restaurants.

Unfortunately this is one of the worst times to be in Nola because our festivals and outdoor patios, etc are so much fun, but it's almost a dead period right now.

You have Harrahs, the art museums on Royal and other scattered downtown. Can head out to City Park and check out sculpture garden late one afternoon and the Museum of art.
Check out the music clubs and see if any of the offerings are what you are looking for. Should be plenty of shows as always.

Go have a drink at the rooftop bar at the ACE Hotel.

If you are beer guys, go to Nola Brewery, Avenue Pub, or Courtyard Brewery.

When you get to New Orleans go to the search function on tigerdroppings and view the million threads on the topic.

Summer is off season for NO tourism so a lot of the nice restaurants run summer specials.

My favorite restaurants near where u will be are Tommys, Dragos (in Hilton), and Domenica. Domenica has awesome pizza and it u get there btwn 3-6 they are half off along with half off beer.

WWII Museum is also a must. Schedule a good bit of time to see it especially if u like historical stuff.

One totally touristy thing that I feel lives up to its hype is the Muffelatta from Central Grocery. That bastard is delicious.

Beer at Lafittes. Just to say you are in the oldest bar in the country.
