The majority of the most close-minded people I know are older. And the young people I know that are close-minded were raised by close-minded old people. People nowadays just have a much easier way to spread their hate online.

Did newspapers in the 70s talk about how boomers were killing the auto industry?
Where did the people you bought them used cars from get them?

You forgot divorce lawy…oh wait

Boomers include those currently 60 and older. Most of that stuff has been purchased by Boomers.

Thats a pretty close-minded point of view.

You're really hung up on this Pet Insurance. If you don't want, don't get. But to compare that to things like oil changes and Uber eats, things you can do yourself is pretty dumb.

Son of a Boomer. So I think like they do/did
Pet insurance - Nope
Oil changes - Nope
Someone to replace our air filter - Nope
Someone to change our tire - Nope
Lawn services - What self respecting man would do this...
Car wash subscriptions - Nope
Uber eats - Nope
Restaurants outside of special occasions - Fast food for the kids here and there if it's too late to start cooking
Streaming TV services (worthless) - Even basic cable is streaming now
Brand new vehicles - Guilty, but if you can afford it, buy what you want. Dad is a boomer, he buys brand new and keeps them for 10 years.
Dating apps - Nope
College loans - Nope
Doggy day care - Nope
House cleaning - Man it sure is tempting
HOAs - Nope
Home camera systems - Too many weirdos. I want cameras

As a GenX’er, I made good money as a kid cutting Boomers’ lawns, $15 a cut, no edging, weedeating, or sweeping/blowing clippings.
Big gap between a lawn service and letting a neighbor kid make some money. Do neighborhood kids still mow lawns?

don't pay for most of these and I'm a millennial. But I get your point - life is turning into selective TV network subscriptions. You have more options, but cumulatively there is a lot of added costs.

New cars is way more of a boomer thing than a millennial/z thing and it’s not close

Besides cable/ internet and having my oil changed, I don’t pay for any of that.
I can change my own oil but why, not much cheaper with a discount.

literally every single boomer I know has bought multiple brand new vehicles in their lives.

I refuse to pay someone to clean my house. I work part time and there’s no reason I can’t do it. I just don’t want to lol. But I do.

Sounds like a personal problem. I pity your parents. You'd be speaking German or Japanese if not for old people. Get out of that negative mindset bc the finger you're pointing at "old" people is pointing right back at you. Seriously, you're life will be much better. Life is too short.

Weird melt. As a Gen X'er you guys need to just fricking retire and be done with it. You're all up in the way at this point.
