Guessing the throat issues were alcohol related?

Nope. 2016 has just been a bad year.

Statistically you will be back on the booze, and there's a better chance your life will be a revolving roller coaster of failures and rehab.

Just throwing out some facts.

If you are this far gone, you were already missing Christmas with your family.

Good Luck!

I'm honestly petrified. It was my choice. It was the right choice.

But 90 days of introspection is not something I'm comfortable with.

I missed thanksgiving once in rehab. Turned out to be a pretty good thing IMO.

I'm pretty sure no one is comfortable with 90 days of introspection. Do not over think this and anticipate how it's gonna be. Accept the help that you will be given and focus on you getting better. Remain hopeful and know that your loving family will be proud of you when you come out a new man. Good luck.

what sucks is missing it in jail, and maybe you aren't to the point of breaking the law, but that is just not 'yet'... get the help man, the emotions that come back once you get sober after about 3-4 weeks is amazing in and of itself. Take what you can from every single person in the place, be a sponge. And most of all be completely honest with yourself.

Good luck my man

Your next chapter is going to be even more significant than your last!

Damn straight. It's in Pennsylvania, so I have a feeling I might be fighting some Yankees for the TV.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. It kinda makes a tough situation manageable.

Truly, thanks.
