America is still the big dog for a reason.

I think part of the disconnect is that it is in America’s suburbs, exurbs, and rural areas where you see the substantial difference in standard of living between Europe and America.

Comparing NYC to London/Berlin/Paris won’t yield you much difference

It’s in the suburban sprawl where the difference really hits home:

Bigger homes
Wider access to goods
Higher incomes
Owning more shite

Roads that are wide enough for more than one car.

I keed, I keed. I've driven in Europe.

Most of the time it is not a problem, but every now an then you find yourself on a road and just have to hope there is no one else coming the other way.

I love how successful its been and how the opinion of visitors have shifted. It is a shame though, that we have people actively wishing it would fail to make America look bad.

We spoke with a couple from Spain and they were staying in the suburbs and commuting downtown Atlanta for the events. Cute couple, very excited to experience America. They couldn’t believe the number of churches, groceries, and the cars, the cars, the cars!

They asked us for a recommendation, instead we gave them our Braves tickets for last night and told them to stay after and watch the fireworks. I’m looking forward to hearing how they enjoyed Truist Park.

Most of them have never encountered anything but their own societies, …. and the liberties they see us enjoying are unfamiliar to many.

True dat.

If you missed the "How much cash do you keep in your checking account" thread, here's an example of the mentality of most in this country.

quote:

quote:

No debt, house and cars paid for. Never spent more than $17k on a vehicle. Retiring at 50 (1 year away).

I truly hope you live a long life post retirement, bc if you don't, you've really had a boring arse life preparing for a future that isn't promised

^^^ instant gratification mentality

Everyday Americans, even in Boston and NYC, are who impresses them. Also, price of everything is cheaper, they cannot get over cost of food being so low, and number of choices.

The media (MSM in USA and around the world) are not able to filter out the 'goodness' of our country. With Team Trump at the helm, the Spirit of America has been restored and has flourished.

They are being misled by the negativity of our media, entertainment industry, education, and Democrats.

Unlike our liberal mindless morons, they can directly compare their socialist societies to our reality!

Our morons believe the fantasy of the big lie of socialism, communism, and the “horrors” of America.
