These shootings are shaking me up...

In years past, it seemed like I could change the channel off of the news and be done with the negativity. While sad and tragic, these events can’t stop others from living a life.
At the same time, it’s impossible to just dismiss this shite as more violence in the USA. Simply put, we aren’t safe anymore. You can’t go anywhere without having to keep your head ona swivel.
We have elected officials who are too wrapped up in political agendas to take steps to slow these disasters down. We have media outlets that want to push agendas while bodies are still laying in pools of blood.
This country is so damn lost.

You were never as safe as you thought you was.
There have been shootings all the time. As a kid in 1972, I remember a dad having a brain tumor, which caused him to kill his wife and family with a gun. It happen about five blocks from our house. There was nothing in the news about it, much less the following days of analysis and rambling of experts.
Keep in mind, 24 hour news means the producers of the programs have to find news to keep on 24 hours.
“Mass” shootings are still rare. You are being sold.
