Meanwhile an average of 1,753 unborn babies are killed each day in America by way of abortion.

The left’s talk of gun control is nothing but a way to control our lives. They don’t care about the loss of life.

holy shite, that's a huge number, and we only execute something like 8-10 convicted murderers per year, if that?

At the same time, it’s impossible to just dismiss this shite as more violence in the USA. Simply put, we aren’t safe anymore. You can’t go anywhere without having to keep your head ona swivel.

Statistically we're safer from murder than any time since the 60's. And if you factor in other shite (improvement in technology) we're safer in other areas that used to be a lot more dangerous (like driving a car).

But we are less safe from random psychos it seems. Still a very small chance you yourself are affected, but still more of a risk than decades past.

Were you there

Good thing you didn't live during ancient times where mass killings were the norm

Yeah, the exponential growth of humanity is no evidence at all that we're safer than we've ever been.

Your odds of winning the lottery while getting fricked by a shark that walks on land are about the same as your odds of being caught in a mass shooting or terrorism event

Well this is probably the dumbest fricking thing I've read. Odds of winning Mega millions is 1 in 302 million. If we only took those killed and wounded yesterday and today (about 80), U.S. pop of 302 million, odds are 1 in 3.8 million. How did some of you fricks get past grade school?

Where is your data on land fricking sharks though? You have none.

just worked with a guy whose daughter was a victim(survived,) of the Las Vegas mass shooting, really hits home when you see how much it has impacted, permanently, the victim's lives and those of their families

The unfortunate part is these shootings can't really be stopped if the shooter is willing to die in the process.

Gun grabs aren't the answer. Taking away guns will only remove guns from law abiding citizens. Criminals will get them regardless and us decent people will have no way to defend ourselves.

I don't know what the answer is. One potential way to help curb these incidents is to give the shooter himself absolutely zero publicity. I think a lot of these people do stuff like this because they want people to remember their names.

Propaganda.

The 249 number is including any shooting with +3-4 casualties, doesn’t even require deaths.

So an overwhelming majority of those are thug on thug violence.

There’s been maybe 5 “mass shootings” - as defined by public consensus this year.

The government answers consist of everyone who’s not shooting up human beings losing their 2nd amendment rights.

You don’t want government involved. You want parents to start raising children properly. They’re no longer frick trophies. They are society’s problems.
