I try to catch them with the edge of my tire and shoot them across to the side of the road. Unharmed, of course.

I’ll avoid hitting wildlife if I can do it safely, but I’ll turn around and come back to squash a cottonmouth.

I just swerve to miss. Not gonna risk getting hit by a car over a turtle

But I love animals id never hurt one intentionally outside of proper hunting

If you swerve to hit any animal on purpose then you’re probably a terrible human being

I endanger my life and others by swerving to miss the turtle, squirrel, bird, snakes, and dogs.

If you’re really skilled you can shoot them off the road if you just catch them on the edge of their shell with your tire. It shoots them off the road beyond the shoulder just like you would shoot a tiddly winks chip and doesn’t harm the turtle. Takes a bit of practice to master the technique though.

Samsies.

I’ve been known to stop of it’s not a big road and help, though.

I could never hit them. Instead I get out, then shove a stick of dynamite in the shell, light it and then go back to my vehicle to enjoy the show

I don't go out of my way to help or hurt the turtle. The turtle made his decision. I'm just the tornado.

I tore an airdam off of a nice car doing that years ago...

I still swerve today, but I drive better now.

I’m the dude who slams on the brakes on I-10 to get that snapping turtle crossing the road.

Then I throw him into the back of the truck and tie his legs down so he won’t climb out the back while I’m heading home.

And then sauce piquant.
