I know a healthy 32 year old that never left her house for an entire year until she got vaccinated and claims that’s the only reason she’s living a healthy life again.

Yet my mother 72 yr old (has Lupus & hemoglobin disorder) never let that shite show her down for even one day.

All I have is that there is no mask mandate in Alabama anymore, yet 85% of customers at places like Home Depot are still wearing them.
Trying to make me look out of place

That's because every damn mayor in the larger cities in this State still have mask mandates.

Referring to someone as a “dumb bitch” is pathetic. She shouldn’t have to. Who wouldn’t be pissed if they paid $900 for something, and it arrived broken?

Which is funny because there IS a mask mandate in Louisiana and 85% of people in places like Home depot are not wearing masks

Did you point out the fact that restaurants have been packed and somehow those people didn’t die??? Media brainwashing is a real thing folks.

The mentality of blue states is very different. I was talking to someone about a trip to California next week (they live there) and they kept mentioning "oh they are vaccinated" or "you might have to be careful with crowds there". The people just suffer from their own bubbles as red states do

Life has sucked arse for me lately. Only reason I haven't filed for divorce is because of my child.

shite man...this sounds rough as hell for you. The year long 24/7 media cycle has caused some serious anxiety....my wife isnt scared of COVID, but has had ot take small steps in getting back into a crowd. Again, not cause she's scared of COVID, but because being in a crowd feels weird after so long.

I really think it would be best for you to treat this like a phobia... find out what her smallest next step would be, and do that with her...you and I both know she's not gonna get the VID so it'll reinforce that that step was ok...and onto the next, and the next etc etc. Really wish you the best in this

I've been keeping tabs of our adventures over the past year, just to use against morons I encounter. I may have omitted some things.

I left the house every single day from the day the world shut down until today. I cannot stay here. I am in consumer products, so I go to stores whenever I can, pretty much every day.

Broke the seal with the family at the end of April. I took the family out of town, tried state parks...they were ALL FULL, so found a spot on the river and played.

May - went back to work. Visited parents with the kids. Then...

Kids went back to scouts and sports (including INSIDE GYMNASTICS. The horror!)Took the kids to see both Crew 1 Demo (both attempts) and Crew 1 Launch. Went Camping. Went to Florida with a crowd of people, and enjoyed bars with no masks. Got a new roof. Went camping. Traveled for work a dozen times. Went to the beach. Went to a large scout event with Rockets. Went camping. Went to Orlando. Went to the beach. Went to the zoo. Took the kids on a work trip with me to Greenville and Clemson. Kids went back to school. Went rafting. Visited grandparents. Visited grandparents some more. Spent a day in a mountain town and rode an alpine coaster. Changed jobs. Kids had sleepover. Went to aquarium. Went to Six Flags. Went camping. Kid flew an airplane. Went to aquarium. Visited grandparents. Went Orlando. Had a shooting sports weekend with the boy. Visited grandparents. Went to Orlando. Saw another rocket launch. Went to Orlando. Went to the beach. Had a party at Top Golf. Went bowling. Had house full of family for "Christmas in February." Went to NC with my dad. Went to NC again for a retirement party for an old employee. Went to Huntsville. Visited grandparents. Went to Six Flags.

And so on. It blows my freaking mind that perfectly healthy people have been willing to throw away a precious year of their life because they were worried about a virus they may not even get, that also has a >99% survival rate. It just defies logic.

Congrats on literally killing hundreds, maybe thousands as a direct result of your selfish behavior!

Amen! There-in lies the true evil and wickedness of our society. People have the hubris to believe that tomorrow is guaranteed to them and that their fulfillment in life is somehow justified over the amount of time and assets they accumulate as opposed to seeing everyday as a universal gift. Unfortunately, there’s going to be a great number of people that will have wasted a precious year or year and a half of their lives cowering in the shadows and will be smacked in the face with a medical diagnosis, car accident, or general misfortune. Even then they’ll be blind to their own folly.

Maybe even hundreds of thousands! I don't even know anybody that's alive anymore.

I am not scared of covid, but one of my best friend's mom passed away two weeks ago from Covid. It certainly hit home, but I also understand it was a statistical anomaly.

You should have put a sticker inside the box stating that all parts inside this box have been sanitized and free of COVID. She would have felt better. Masked Covidians love that shite.
