Hawaii has had some pretty strict Covid mandates.

NOLA people think LaToya is bad.

Hawaii has had a 14 day quarantine period (I read somewhere that some honeymooners were arrested for not following protocol.)

Google Hawaii Covid info.

Lots of hoops to jump through.

My sister is a Covidiot. She still keeps things she buys in her Metairie garage for 2 weeks before bringing them into her house.

Me? I don't care anymore since my 90 year old parents died. I was careful because I was their caretaker but now I don't give a rat's arse.

I have a coworker that sleeps with his mask on. No exaggeration, I haven't seen this guy's face since last March. If someone let's out a slight cough he goes into all out panic.

Imagine being an individual who only watches CNN and CNBC. That’s how they do it. Some people actually still believe that anything spoken on the idiot box is the gospel.

I was talking to a neighbor woman outside. She’s masked. If I stepped forward talking to her and came within about 8 feet, she would take a step back.

I don’t think we ever did the keep packages outside bit. I think very early on we wiped down some groceries but that only went on for maybe a couple weeks.

I still have no desire to catch COVID (know some folks with long hauler issues) and got vaccinated but that seems nuts at this point.

By my calculations, from everything that bike had on it, it was at least a $4000 bike brand new

I came across a post on Reddit today where a woman said her 3 year old has literally never played with another child in his entire life (her words). People that scared will never fully recover.

Absolutely, this will change the landscape of society for many down the line and they'll pass this flawed narrative on down through generations in their families - and the media will keep it alive in some form as well.

I did enjoy seeing the crowd at the LSU/Ole Miss game last year. There were few if any masks in the stands and it was packed, no social distancing I could tell. Good for them.

look at this fricking creep MeridianDawg’s thoughts in another thread:

what a sick frick.

I have clients that will not enter our office to drop off tax documents. They knock on the door or put in the mail slot. There are a few that have groceries delivered and do not leave the house. Yes, many are still petrified.

Makes sense for some people. I'm paranoid because my MIL is high risk - you know what? Open back up!

All I have is that there is no mask mandate in Alabama anymore, yet 85% of customers at places like Home Depot are still wearing them.
Trying to make me look out of place

yep, I have a friend who lives in Houston, he and his wife are "STILL" working from home, and their two kids are still schooling virtually even though they could attend school if they chose. And they get their groceries delivered.

He asked me if I was doing the same...and i told him hell no - outside of wearing a mask where it is asked of me and washing my hands a bit more, I've pretty much been working and living as I had before this started for the last 8 months. He sounded surprised.

You should have met the buyer at a police station (perhaps on the west coast?). You can never be too careful with Craig’s list buyers. I’m glad you’re safe.
